The program offers the following sessions:
Meet the experts
Up to 6 parallel sessions of 45 minutes for each morning with 2 experts per session.
Oral presentations
Plenary sessions
Total of 3 sessions. Two 1 hour sessions, including one 30-minute invited lectures and two 15-minute selected abstract plenary presentations. One 1 hour session with one 30-minute invited lecture and short presentation of the best posters selected for award.

Parallel sessions
Of 90 minutes each (total number of 26)
Themed research sessons (6)
The session will contain 3 invited presentations of 20 min. each presentation and 30 min. of discussion.
Themes of the sessions:
- analysis of subjective data in longitudinal research
- trial methods in palliative care research - clinical and health services research
- imitations and possibilities in the use of molecular biolgoy in palliative care - translational research
- implementation of research into clinical practice
- mixed methods
- systematic reviews
European Palliative Care Research Collaborative (EPCRC) sessions on (www.epcrc.org):
- depression
- pain
- cachexia
- “hot shot” to be announced in autumn
16 (to 18) Free communication sessions (New Research Data sessions)
These sessions will include 6 selected abstracts per session. Each presenting author will have 8 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. This will allow up to 108 oral communications.
2 Poster Discussion sessions
A faculty of two to three persons will select approximately 10 posters to be discussed in each session.
Posters
Posters will be presented in 2 sets divided between the 2,5 days.
For each of the 2 sets of posters, 210 minutes of the program will be dedicated for all participants to poster viewing.
Poster guided tours
Guided poster tours will be offered during the breaks. Faculty members will disucss selected posters of an abstract category with a group of participants.
Awards
Chosen reviewers will assess the posters that will be displayed in 2 sets during the Forum. 6 outstanding posters (3 for each poster set) will receive an award.
Satellite Symposia
The program will also include three company sponsored Lunch Satellites
Informal meetings
5 small meeting rooms (8-20 persons) for informal meetings will be available from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.

Abstracts
Deadline for submission: 15 October 2007
The Scientific Committee will build a major part of the conference program on submitted abstracts. For this reason the abstract deadline must be set early.
Abstracts may only be submitted using the electronic abstract form.
