The best and most up-to-date palliative care research from Europe and around the world will be presented at the 6th EAPC Research Congress in June. Palliative care research represents a field in continuous growth aiming at improving of patient care.

663 abstracts from 39 countries have been submitted. Five outstanding abstracts have been selected for presentation in plenary. More than 100 abstracts will be presented in 16 oral communication sessions and in two poster discussion sessions. There will be several poster presentations. The programme offers 11 themed sessions presenting diverse and interesting research within palliative care and eight meet-the-experts-sessions as well as six sponsored satellite symposia.

Young Investigator Award
The scientific committee has decided upon the winner of the Young Investigator Award. The successful candidate will be presented during the closing ceremony on Saturday June 12 in Glasgow and will give a plenary lecture during that session. The winner will be informed personally very shortly.
